ABOUT KONKANA BAKSHI

Having won the ‘Miss Elegance World’ contest in 2008 and the ‘Miss India East’ pageant in 2009, Konkana Bakshi is a well-known face in India. Her stint as a model for various brands and fashion shows has fetched her accolades through the years.

Konkana Bakshi is trained and licenced to offer the highly sophisticated and advanced business etiquette curriculum, by the prestigious Emily Post Institute, Vermont, USA. Further, as a graduate and a licenced Image Consultant from the London Image Institution, she is also able to provide a distinctive and visible transformation to her clients.

Her exposure to the business etiquette, social manners and personal grooming skills, practiced by the English and the French led her to understand the gaping void that existed amongst the Indian nationals. Ms. Bakshi realised that there were no finishing schools in India, which would customise and tailor-make programs, so as to suit the specific requirements of various professionals and homemakers. This was the genesis of the Savoir Faire Academie.

In her role as Founder and Director of the Savoir Faire Academie, Konkana brings to the fore, her well-deserved reputation as the only Indian to have won the ‘Miss Elegance’ title.

She is one of the few Miss India pageant winners who live up to their promise of taking time out for humanitarian, philanthropic causes. She works relentlessly for the welfare of orphaned street children, facilitates organ donations through various NGOs, and is closely involved with ‘The Habitat of Humanity’.
